  Going to Bombora yesterday revitalised memories of the first time we went to Bombora's years ago. It was a wet and windy day but the hostess cheerily invited us inside to warm up and sit by the window to watch the waves crashing onto the beach. I have never been so made to feel welcome to a restaurant. The food was excellent, the cake was melt in your mouth delicious (the hostess, Vanessa, bakes them herself). Yesterday the view of the ocean was just as good, and the food even better. Her German apple cake is my favourite but yesterday I tried her fig and almond cake, YUM! We often take friends there to dine with us. It was a calm and warm day yesterday and the windows had been removed to reveal an even more perfect view of the big waves and the surfers riding them. One of our friends recently bought a property within easy walking distance. Would she have bought that property if Bombora's were not there? I doubt it.

  Wonderful views of the sea, beautiful on a sunny day. The best cakes and hot chocolate for miles and miles. Walk on the beach and let the sound of the surf stimulate your senses while you breathe in the negative ions in the air. Great place for the soul.

  We had chips and a turkey sandwich which were very tasty and the views were amazing. But I still don't know if I got food poisoning from here or the toast I had at home for breakfast..
